Voting Information - June 4, 2024 Democratic Primary

Voter Registration
Need to register to vote? You can do so online by visiting the NJ Division of Elections Website. 
The deadline to register for the Democratic Primary is May 14.

Vote By Mail
Ballots for early voting are currently being mailed out to residents who requested a vote by mail ballot. Ballots must be turned into a secure drop box by the polls close on June 4 (8pm). There is a secure dropbox located in the Chestnut Street lot on Broad Street next to the current Summit Fire Department. Alternatively, ballots can be sent via USPS and must be postmarked by June 4. 

Early Voting
Early voting for the Democratic Primary starts Wednesday, May 29 and runs through Sunday, June 2. Voting will take place at various locations throughout Union County. The closest Early Voting location to Summit is located in New Providence at the DeCorso Community Center (15 East Fourth Street, New Providence).

Early Voting Schedule:

  • May 29 - June 1: 10 am – 8 pm
  • June 2: 10 am – 6pm

Election Day Voting
Polls are open on Primary Election Day, June 4, from 6:00a-8:00p. To find your polling place, click here.
